  • Strong knowledge in one or more of our subjects (VCE or Yr 7–10 Maths & Science)
  • Ability to explain concepts clearly to school-age students
  • Currently studying or graduated in a relevant field
  • Reliable, professional, and punctual
  • Valid Employee Working with Children Check (or willing to apply)
  • Available at least 3 hours per week

What subjects do you need tutors for?

VCE Mathematical Methods, Specialist Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Years 7–10 Maths.

How much do I earn?

You earn 70% of the rate charged to the student. Payments are made fortnightly directly into your nominated account.

Do I need tutoring experience?

No — most of our tutors haven't tutored before. We provide training and onboarding so you're confident before your first session.

Do I need a Working with Children Check?

Yes. A valid Employee WWCC is required before you start tutoring any students.

Can I tutor in-person or online?

Yes. You can tutor in-person around Melbourne, online, or both — your preference.

Do I need to plan lessons?

No. The curriculum and session structure are provided through the platform. You focus on explaining; we handle the rest.

Do I need an ABN?

Yes — tutors are engaged as independent contractors. An ABN is free to register at abr.gov.au.

When will I hear back?

We aim to respond to every application within 2–3 business days.
